Goddess Coin Necklaces

Beautiful. Powerful. Femme Fatale.

Cleopatra was the last ruler of the Kingdom of Egypt and actively influenced Roman politics through her romantic liaisons and military alliances with Roman Leaders Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. Cleopatra came to represent, as did no other woman of antiquity, the prototype of the romantic femme fatale.

Feared. Revered. Badass Bitch.

In Greek mythology, Medusa was a monster, described as a winged human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair. Gazers upon her face would turn to stone, making her both feared and unstoppable. Her face has been immortalized on shields and breastplates throughout antiquity as a totem to ward off evil.

Wise. Altruistic. Goddess.

Athena, the Goddess of heroic endeavor, wisdom and justice inspired and fought alongside the Greek heroes. Unsurpassed in warfare and wisdom, she was sought by all for help and advice. A personification of righteousness and skillfulness, Athena inspired women to be both well-educated and fierce.

Which Warrior Goddess Are You?

Joan of Arc

Fierce. Strong. Fearless.

Joan of Arc, a peasant girl living in medieval France, believed she was destined to lead France to victory in its Hundred Years’ War with England. With no military training, Joan fearlessly led a French army to the city of Orléans and garnered a stunning victory. Although Joan was captured by the English and burned at the stake, she was later canonized and is considered one of history’s greatest saints.

Susan B. Anthony

Confident. Influential. Activist.

Susan B. Anthony was an American social reformer and women’s rights activist, who went on to become president of the National Woman’s Suffrage Association. Revered for her formidable wit and tireless pursuit of justice, Susan defied the law and voted in the 1872 presidential election. Although briefly arrested for the crime and publicly fined $100, she never paid it. Instead, she went on to arrange the amendment to the bill of rights allowing women to vote, ratified in the constitution in 1920.

Sojourner Truth

Liberated. Iconic. Crusader.

Sojourner Truth was an African-American abolitionist and women’s rights activist. Born into slavery, she eventually escaped with her infant daughter to freedom. For the rest of her life, Sojourner crusaded throughout the States passionately advocating for equality and universal suffrage, as did no other woman of her time. She is best known for her iconic speech, "Ain't I a Woman?” delivered at the 1851 Women’s Convention and being the first black female to take a white man to court and win.

Hua Mulan

Loyal. Rebellious. Warrior.

Hua Mulan was a storied female warrior from the Northern and Southern Dynasties period of Chinese history. As legend has it, Mulan disguised herself as a male soldier in order to take her ailing father’s place in the national army and outperformed her male counterparts in all forms of battle. After fighting for twelve years and gaining the highest merit, Mulan refused any reward and returned home to be with her family. She was revered as one of the bravest heroines in Chinese history.
